If you identify a child in your class with additional needs:
- Speak to the SENCo about your concerns and to discuss appropriate interventions.
- Arrange a meeting with parents to discuss your concerns and to agree an action plan with clear targets if the concern can be addressed through in house intervention.
- If an EHC plan and outside agency support is deemed necessary, the SENCo will set up a meeting with parents.
If a child’s needs are met through in house intervention, their targets will be reviewed during parents’ evening. If outside agencies are involved, the SENCo will arrange meetings to review targets.
Pastoral Support
All staff are expected to give pastoral support to the children in their classes. If extra pastoral support is needed, speak to the SENCo about extra provision the school can offer.
